THE LATEST : Agribusiness Systems International (ASI) Becomes Tanager

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 11, 2018 – Agribusiness Systems International (ASI), an affiliate of the Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit ACDI/VOCA, today announced it has been renamed Tanager after a year-long rebranding process. The new name represents an organization with a sharpened mission and a distinctive presence and positioning.

Along with the name change, Tanager is launching a new website, visual identity, and brand and messaging platforms. The tagline “Growth for Good” encapsulates the international nonprofit’s dedication to helping smallholder producers and workforces to succeed in the global economy.

“We’re thrilled with the new name and brand identity,” said Ana Bilik, Tanager’s president. “It reflects who we have always been, with a renewed emphasis on our global mission to bring people together to co-create new ways to build life-changing economic opportunity.”

The name Tanager is taken from Darwin’s studies of various species of the Tanager family of birds, and reflects both the birds’ ability to adapt and their upward and forward movement in taking flight. Tanager employs similar movement, flexibility, and accessibility in helping people to adapt to and benefit from rapidly changing market dynamics.
