News: Tanager to present on multi-stakeholder partnerships at 2020 Borlaug Dialogue

On October 14th, between 8 and 9:30 am EST, Tanager, Mars Wrigley, and Symrise will present an interactive virtual Side Event during the 2020 Norman E. Borlaug International Symposium (hosted by the World Food Prize) focused on how to effectively and humbly manage projects with multi-stakeholder partnerships, using the award-winning Shubh Mint project as a case study.

One of the aspects of Shubh Mint that makes it so unique is the number of different corporate and non-profit partners who work together and with farmers to achieve improved economic and social outcomes at the farm level. We wanted to bring the expertise that we’ve gained through this project to the wider development community. Registration for this Side Event is FREE – please click here for more information and registration.

Title: Gather Around the Indian Farmer: Building and Maintaining Multi-stakeholder Partnerships in Uttar Pradesh
Date: October 14th, 2020
Time: 8:00 am to 9:30 am EST (NOTE: Times on the World Food Prize website are in CT)

Description: To improve economic and social outcomes for smallholder farmers in India, the public and private sectors must work together. But successful collaboration takes alignment of purpose, values, and goals.

This interactive event will unpack common stumbling blocks in multi-stakeholder partnerships and facilitate a discussion on how companies and nonprofits can overcome common challenges to positively impact the lives of smallholder farmers. Using the award-winning Shubh Mint project in Uttar Pradesh, India as a case study, presenters from Tanager, Mars Wrigley, and Symrise will help you improve your ability to construct, manage, and execute projects that bring together multiple private and public sector actors. This is not a static presentation – participants will be broken into smaller groups and presented with a series of challenges and asked to come up with their own solutions. Groups will then reconvene and the team from Tanager, Mars, and Symrise will facilitate a discussion of the proposed solutions.
