UN Publication Commends Tanager Women’s Inclusion Methodology in Women Training Centre’s Compendium of Good Practices

Tanager (operating then as ASI), an affiliate of ACDI/VOCA, implemented the Sunhara India program in Uttar Pradesh from 2010-2013. Sunhara, which means “prosperous” in Hindi, encouraged economic growth in horticultural value chains through inclusive market facilitation. Program efforts included a “Gender, Rights, and Collective Action” training that has been recognized by and mentioned in the UN Women Training Centre’s Compendium of Good Practices in Training for Gender Equality.

The Good Agricultural Practices Compendium for Mentha arvensis

A collection of best agronomic and distillation practices in mint. The information and analysis contained in the compendium was based on consultations with farmers, experts from the Central Institute for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), and private sector companies working at different points in the mint value chain in Uttar Pradesh.
