Dave Shaw
Data & Learning Director
Dave is a Data & Learning Director who works closely with Tanager’s in-country Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) teams to develop project MEL plans, define project indicators, and measure progress toward project outcomes. He has more than 15 years of experience in international development across a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including project design, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, and technology implementation. In previous roles, Shaw has led Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) activities for projects in the Philippines, Cambodia, and Thailand. Shaw has successfully led cross-functional and cross-cultural teams by generating a vision for data collection, analysis, and use as well as motivating team members, creating an atmosphere of trust, coaching staff, and encouraging innovation. He holds a master’s degree in international relations from the Institute of World Politics in Washington, D.C.
