Djibril Compaore
Poultry Lead, Burkina Faso
Djibril Compaore has 17 years of experience in rural development and animal production. As Tanager’s poultry lead for the SELEVER project in Burkina Faso, he facilitates a suite of activities with local stakeholders and organizations to achieve systemic improvements in the rural poultry value chain. He has worked in various integrated agriculture-livestock development projects and has played a role in shaping national livestock development policies as a leader in local livestock-producing organizations. Previously, he led the livestock component of a food security project applied a gender- and nutrition-sensitive lens. Djibril holds a master’s in project management and a bachelor’s in animal science from the Ecole de Santé Animale du Burkina Faso, and is pursuing a master’s in animal production as well as a master’s in climate change.
