Nutrition Lead, Burkina Faso
Jean-Marie Zongo has more than 15 years of experience in health, nutrition, food security, and WASH as a researcher and development practitioner. He is a specialist in monitoring and evaluation. As Tanager’s nutrition lead for the SELEVER project, he provides leadership on strategy design and coordination of nutrition, behavior change, and WASH interventions. Jean-Marie serves as the primary resource person for the design and development of capacity- building approaches and tools. Previously at Save the Children, he developed tools and training materials in health and nutrition, and has strong relationships with key actors in the food distribution, safety, and security arena. He is a senior trainer in nutrition for Bioforce’s development Institute in West Africa. Jean-Marie holds a master’s of epidemiology from the National School of Public Health, a master’s in international cooperation and humanitarian aid, and a bachelor’s of psychology from University of Ouagadougou.
