Romain Kenfack

Country Representative, Burkina Faso

With more than 17 years of experience as a leader for international development organizations, Romain has a proven record of piloting interventions, innovating and problem solving to address barriers to social and economic development. As Tanager’s country representative in Burkina Faso, he leads the SELEVER project to improve the nutrition status of women and children through an integrated strategy that increases women’s economic empowerment through household poultry production and improves access to poultry value chain services. SELEVER will impact the lives of more than 450,000 individuals with a net present value of total estimated income generated of $43 million over a ten-year period. Previously, Romain has provided leadership to nutrition, livestock, women’s empowerment, agriculture, and economic development programs. He specializes in cultivating relationships among the private sector, non-government organizations, and local governments that build consensus and achieve tangible results for local communities. Romain holds a master’s in administration from Andrews University.
