Sam (as he simply says it) brings over 15 years of experience leading research projects in Africa that cut across different disciplines, including Economics, Gender, Peacebuilding, and Conflict Transformation. Sam also brings a wealth of experience to this role from managing research processes that range from inception to dissemination, facilitation of training, supervising research teams, delivering technical advisory services, and developing diverse strategies with a strong focus on outcomes, quality end-user experience, stakeholder management, and quality assurance. Sam completed his Ph.D. in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Otago, New Zealand. Sam also holds a master’s degree in Gender and Development Studies from Egerton University, Kenya, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Maseno University, Kenya.
