Olive Muthamia
IGNITE Nutrition Expert
Olive Muthamia, IGNITE nutrition expert, provides technical expertise to African agricultural institutions in Tanager’s IGNITE project. Her focus is to improve nutrition outcomes through nutrition-sensitive agriculture interventions and ensure institutions have the right skills and tools to implement and monitor nutrition-sensitive interventions.
Muthamia has more than 15 years of experience in program management and leadership in humanitarian and development contexts. She has solid experience in designing, resourcing, and implementing multisectoral (WASH, health, livelihood, and food systems) and multiannual programs, capacity development, systems strengthening, strategy development and implementation, gender empowerment, multisectoral assessments, monitoring and evaluation, partner collaboration and localization.
Muthamia has previously worked with international organizations in Kenya, South Sudan, and Nigeria. She holds a master’s degree in applied human nutrition from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
